Green Polymer

what we do:

With the exponential development of the modern world, the advancements in technology have offered us a chance at creating a greener and more sustainable environment with the help of Green Polymer, an innovative product that is set to revolutionize the way polymer is used in industries around the globe.

The nanotechnological breakthroughs we have achieved will allow for a much more efficient line of production in various industries like the automotive industry, construction industry, plastic part production, home equipment and appliances, and many more.

Polymers we supply:

Green Polymer is set out to be one of the best providers of polymer for numerous industries, manufacturers, and even local businesses that seek the highest quality of production. We offer various polymeric bases consisting of properties such as impact resistance, flexural strength, dimensional stability, and many more. The polymeric bases we offer are: PP, PE, PC, PC/ABS, ABS, POM, PA, PMMA, PBT, TPE/TPU, LCP, PVDF, PPS, SBC, PSU/PES, PEI, PEEK.

Sustainable Products
After years of nanotechnological research and development, we have managed to effectively improve multiple elements of polymer, such as the enhancement of mechanical properties of polymeric compounds, elimination of warpage and shrinkage, weight reduction, while also improving the flexibility and dimensional stability of products and reducing the raw materials required for production to secure a greener future. Sustainability is vital to not only meet customer and consumer demand, but it is also crucial that ethically, we all play our part in future-proofing our industry and always do our very best for the planet. Sustainable polymers generally fall into two category types: Recycled Plastics and Bio/Eco Polymers.
Recycled Plastics
Green Polymer has supplied recycled plastics ever since the formation of our company, therefore we have as much experience in this area as anyone within the industry. We have an excellent track record of specifying and supplying these materials for highly demanding applications. The most widely used recycled materials are the main commodity materials of Polypropylene (PP), Polyethylene (PE) and to a lesser extent, Polystyrene (PS). PP can be supplied with fillers such as talc or glass fibre to enhance certain properties. We also offer a full range of recycled engineering polymers including PA, PC/ABS, ABS, PC and PEEK.

Thermoplastic Compounds & Masterbatches

Green Polymer offers a comprehensive range of standard and filled compounds and also colour masterbatches.

We can also offer grades to meet specific needs. For example, to enhance mechanical properties, reduce warpage, improve surface finish, provide cost down and many more.

We are also able to offer re-engineered compound polymers in materials such as PC/ABS, TPU, PC etc. Furthermore, these are produced to the highest standards and help provide attractive commercial savings against prime grades. The grades we offer are:

  • Glass Filled grades
  • Long Glass Fibre Filled grades
  • Glass Bead Filled grades
  • Talc Filled grades
  • PTFE Filled grades
  • Flame Retardant grades
  • UV Stabilised grades
  • Conductive grades
  • Colour Masterbatches
  • Wide range of additives

Bio/Eco Polymers

When considering the different types of Bio/Eco plastics that are available, it is important to differentiate between the actual origin of the material and the desired function of the material, as confusion often arises between durable renewable or biomass-derived plastics and biodegradable plastics. Some of the main options currently available include:

  • Bio-origin polymers, including PLA – plastics based on renewable sources i.e. corn starch, cellulose, sugar cane or other natural waste products. Can also include water-soluble polymers.

  • Biodegradable & Compostable materials (or additives) which in some cases may provide non-toxic by-products e.g. biomass, after being broken down by naturally occurring bacteria

  • Oxo-Biodegradable – A masterbatch additive, for adding to PP or PE. This type of additive tackles the key issue of plastic litter in the environment. It is important to note that this option is not a compostable material, but an additive that breaks down and destroys the plastic at the end of its useful life, if it has not been collected for recycling.

How can we help

There are different ways that our determined and dynamic team can help your business. Our philosophy is to help our customers retain and win business and hopefully make their lives just a little bit easier too

If you are under pressure to reduce your costs, in addition to our Price Check, we have two further possible ways to provide you with the reductions you need:

We can review your purchasing strategy and establish if placing an annual contract or increasing your order quantity to take advantage of price breaks and reduced shipping costs would save you money.

If you have some flexibility on the material specification or trade name, we can offer you a lower-cost alternative to the premium, branded trade names. Contact us with the grade, colour, and lot size you need and we will respond with a no-obligation quotation.

With an established supply chain of multiple partners and a database with thousands of granules at our fingertips, you can leave the searching to us.

Green Polymer is completely independent, meaning that we are not bound to sell only certain manufacturers’ grades and are confident of being able to find exactly what you are looking for. With one call to us, your search is broadened right across the globe.

SECTORS

We have a vast depth of experience and expertise across a wide variety of industry sectors. Although Green Polymer can provide materials to virtually any sector, the majority of our requests come from the following industries:

1. Electronics

For demanding and critical tolerance electronics applications such as connectors, sensors, and LED’s, highly specified engineering grades and high-performance polymers are required.

Nylons and PBT have long been some of the most widely used materials in this sector but in recent years have been joined by many of the high-performance plastics such as PES, PEI, PPS, PEEK, and LCP.
